The second issue of the lovely SCOOP magazine is out and it is a great pleasure to be featured in it once again.
SCOOP is a fab monthly magazine aimed at children aged 8 and above. Each issue features short stories, beautiful illustrations, poetry, and comic strips including FRAMED a regular two page feature by myself and Giovanni Rigano. Giovanni and I are long time comic collaborators (along with the mighty Eoin Colfer) on the series of Artemis Fowl graphic novels and an original graphic novel to be released in September 2017.
SCOOP features fiction and non-fiction, one off pieces, and regular columns. It’s a beautiful thing with high production values and real quality paper. You can subscribe at: www.scoopthemag.co.uk or buy a copy at some Inde bookshops.
Gio and I contribute a two page strip titled FRAMED which has a different subject every month. The first was HOW TO MAKE A GRAPHIC NOVEL, the second (in the current issue) HOW TO DO HOMEWORK. In the future we’ll be featuring HOW TO SURVIVE A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE (issue #3) and HOW TO HUNT FOR THE LOCH NESS MONSTER (issue #4.)
If you enjoy reading and if you love a good story then please give SCOOP a go. It’s beautiful package brilliantly put together by Sarah Odedina and Clementine Macmillan-Scott. Contributors include: John Agard, Neil Gaiman, Sir Tom Stoppard, Herbie Brennan, Tom Whipple, Amanda Craig, and Jacqueline Wilson.
