WAR – our new graphic novel is out now!

Hello. And we’re back. Thank you for coming to the website to take a look.

We’re delighted to be able to say that following on from our best selling graphic novels, ILLEGAL, and then GLOBAL, our brand new full colour, full length, graphic novel WAR, is out now.

It’s published by Hachette in the UK and SourceBooks in the USA. It’s co-written by myself and Mr Eoin Colfer, with amazing art by long time collaborator, Giovanni Rigano.

Creating this has been a labour of love for the three of us and we are very happy to see it released into the world.

Our UK publisher, Hachette, describes it as “A timely and thoughtful graphic novel about war, with glorious colour artwork throughout for readers of all ages.”

“WAR is set in an unnamed city in an unnamed country. It tells the story of Kat, a fourteen-year-old graffiti artist who finds her life turned upside down when her home city is invaded. When her father is taken and held without charge by the invading forces, Kat chooses not to flee with her mother and little sister, instead sneaking off to remain in the city and try to rescue her dad. Also featured is Adam, a young conscript who struggles to understand why he is being made to fight.”

There’s the fab cover and a couple of spreads of art from Giovanni below.

WAR is on sale in all good bookshops now. We really hope you like it.

Above – Early in the story, Kat looks out over the city where she lives seeing a fireworks display in the distance.

This double page spread shows the invading army approaching Kat’s city. Art – as always – by Giovanni Rigano.
