Graham S Brand Award 2013

“And the winner is…”

Graham S Brand was my dear friend and writing partner at the very beginning of my writing career.  Very sadly, he passed away when he was 27.  The Graham S. Brand Award was set up in his memory at his old university – the University of Westminster – and is given each year for an outstanding piece of writing/production on the radio features part of the Media course.

Today I had the pleasure of escorting Mrs Brand (Graham’s mum) into the University as we spoke to students about the award and gave a talk on freelance writing.

Many congratulations to this year’s winner…  who is the lovely Adam Allinson.  Adam won for his excellent ten minute feature called “Anyone for Tea?”
